Keep your oily skin under control

Oily skin

People are fed up with their oily skin all the time because no matter what they do, the natural oil is so much that it starts spoiling the skin but having oily skin isn’t that bad. It is an all-natural oil that protects and preserves the skin and further helps people get a natural glow on their faces. Some annoying problems come with oily skin like breakouts, clogged pores, and super shiny faces.

Oily skin is usually caused because of the hormonal stimulation of the oil glands in the body. The amount of oil differs from person to person and the hormonal changes that they experience. The weather also plays a significant role.

Here are some ways to get rid of oily skin:

● Use oil-fighting cleansers:

If you have extra oil on your face, you can use the foaming oil-fighting cleansers to help open up your pores and get rid of the extra oil. Make sure to be extremely gentle with your skin while using the cleansers because rubbing it harshly won’t let the oil go away.

● Let the cleanser do some work:

If you scrub your skin too harshly, it can take off the natural oil, which protects your skin and increases oil production. So the right way to do it is to apply it and gently rub it while it does its work of removing the excess dirt and oil from your skin.

● Do not wash your face too often:

If you have oily skin, then you might think that washing your face frequently can help in reducing oil, but that isn’t the case because it can also remove all the protective natural oils and make your skin feel dry. The skin isn’t capable of producing moisture, and washing your face too much can take off the natural oils from your face.

● Never skip using moisturizers:

Make sure to always use a moisturizer on your face because it helps in adding a layer of protection against the oil. If you apply moisturizer, then there are fewer chances of your skin going dry.

● Remember to wear sunscreen:

Make it a point always to wear sunscreen and then step out because it will help protect your skin from getting any effect from the rays, and it will also help promote less oil production on your skin.

● Apply a mattifying agent on your skin:

After applying sunscreen and before applying makeup on your skin, you can also apply a mattifying agent, which will help control the shine off your skin throughout the day. It has a polymer that helps absorb the oil from the skin and also helps in reducing the shine.

● Switch your makeup products:

Sometimes we do not even realize but some makeup products won’t suit your skin, and that’s why you need to switch to the right makeup products, which will keep your oily skin in check and won’t harm the skin much.

● Exfoliate your skin weekly:

Ensure that you do not exfoliate your skin overly, but it is also essential to exfoliate the skin at least twice a week. You can use the exfoliants, which have fewer non-particle-based chemicals because it helps in reducing the dead skin cells and reduces the oil.

● Apply sulfur mask:

It is essential to make sure that you are getting rid of the impurities from your skin, and for that, you need to use anti-inflammatory products, which will help in calming down your oil gland and reduce the production of oil. Make sure to apply sulfur masks two-three times a week.

● Do not touch your face too much:

Oily skin

One thing to keep in mind is to avoid touching your face a lot because that way, you transfer the dirt and bacteria from your hands to your face. If you keep doing this action, then it can clog the pores and cause acne on your skin.

● Cut back sugar and refined carbs from your diet:

If you tend to consume a lot of sugar and refined carbs, it can increase the oil production and acne on your skin; that’s why you should cut back on sugar as much as you can and eat more healthy food products.

● Do not be stressed:

It‘s very easy to feel stressed with work or any other situation, but your body tends to trigger more oil production because of the produce of more cortisol; that’s why make sure that you keep your mind relaxed and stress-free as much as you can.
